Meet Our Veterinary Team

Dr. Brittney Luna grew up in Temecula, California where her love of animals and medicine blossomed. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at Iowa State University, and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science at Colorado State before moving to Kansas where she graduated with a Veterinary Doctorate degree from Kansas State University.
Dr. Luna enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and spent several years working with horses, cattle, goats, and alpacas in addition to rural dogs and cats. She has a special interest in pain management, reproduction and soft tissue surgery.

In her free time, Dr. Luna enjoys spending time with her husband, Alex and son, Mason on their small hobby farm with several horses, goats, cats and dogs. As a family, they enjoy traveling, hiking, golfing, horseback riding and Scuba diving.

Dr. Luna is excited to be part of the SoCal Veterinary Hospital team and looks forward to providing exceptional care and building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners.

Alyss has been working in the veterinary field since 2013. She began her career as a receptionist, but her love for animals and desire to be more involved in their care led her to cross-train as a veterinary assistant. Since then, she has continued to grow her knowledge and skills and now serves as a Lead Veterinary Assistant at SoVal Veterinary Hospital.

In her role, she helps coordinate surgical procedures, supports the veterinary team, and ensures patients receive the highest standard of care before, during, and after their procedures.

Alyss always looks for opportunities to continue learning and growing within the veterinary profession. She plans to begin classes in the near future to pursue her Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification and expand her knowledge and ability to provide exceptional care.

Alyss is proud to be part of a profession dedicated to helping animals live healthier, happier lives, and strive to provide the best patient care possible every day.

With over 14 years of experience as a Client Service Representative in the veterinary field, I’ve had the privilege of helping countless pets and their families throughout the years. The best part of working with animals is knowing that every owner leaves feeling heard, cared for, and confident that their beloved pets are receiving the best care possible. I truly believe that caring for the people is just as important as caring for their animals.

Outside of work, my home is basically a zoo filled with cats and dogs. I’m a proud mom to two human girls and one bonus son. In my free time, I love spending time with my amazing husband and family. I’m always up for an adventure, especially if it involves camping, being on the water, or anything outdoors. But if the adventure happens to be inside, I thrive on frigid weather!

Animals have always been an important part of my life. Growing up, I knew I wanted a career where I could make a difference in the lives of animals and the people who love them. I spent much of my teenage years riding and caring for horses and also participated in 4-H with my pet rabbits. Both experiences deepened my appreciation for the bond between people and animals and ultimately inspired my career in veterinary medicine.

For the past 21 years, I’ve been fortunate to build a career doing what I love. As Practice Manager at SoCal Veterinary Hospital, I am dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where both clients and their pets feel comfortable, cared for, and valued. I enjoy working alongside our incredible team to ensure every visit is a positive experience, whether you’re here for a routine wellness exam or navigating a more challenging time with your beloved companion.

Outside of the hospital, you’ll usually find me spending time at Disneyland, attending Renaissance fairs, browsing the shelves at Barnes & Noble in search of my next great read, relaxing at my favorite local beaches, or spending quality time with my two cats, Jon Snow and Leonard, who always keep life entertaining.

I truly believe that pets are family, and I feel incredibly grateful to be part of a profession that allows me to support both animals and the people who love them. I look forward to welcoming you and your furry family members to SoCal Veterinary Hospital and helping make every visit a positive experience.
